Witches Brew Coffee Co
Specialty coffee, tea & house-made pastries
A Place Built
for the Unhurried
Witches Brew is a specialty coffee house on Canal Street with a covered outdoor patio, dim lighting, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. It is not trying to be a tourist destination. A home for green witches and old souls, for practitioners of every path, and for anyone who knows that a good cup of coffee is its own kind of ritual.
The drink program is built around craft and intention: draft matcha sourced directly from Japan, teas hand-blended on the Oregon coast, drinking chocolate traced to a single cacao family in Nicaragua. Everything in the pastry case was made in house.

Tarot Readings
We host three readers, each with their own approach and tradition. Sessions are held weekly in the café — no prior experience needed, just curiosity.
“The cards don’t tell you what to do. They show you what you already know. Our readers work with that — gently, directly, and without theater.”
Mid-City, New Orleans
We are on Canal Street in Mid-City — not the Quarter, not the Bywater. A neighborhood spot on the streetcar line, with rear parking and a covered patio that stays open when the weather cooperates, which in New Orleans means more than you’d expect.
The building sits beneath Swan River Yoga. The patio is shaded. The WiFi works. There are enough seats that you won’t feel rushed, and enough going on that you won’t feel like you’re sitting in a chain.
If you’re driving in from outside the city, we’re an easy stop between the French Quarter and Metairie on Canal.
“Feels like stepping into a cozy little spell book tucked away in New Orleans. My latte was smooth with a rich espresso base, and you can tell they care about quality.”Ctgb2 Local Guide · Google Review
“These folks were super friendly and helpful. The coffee was superb, but the desserts were the star of the show!”Bonnie Hildebrand Google Review · Dine In
“Amazing teas and cake! Inviting and soothing atmosphere! For now, the Faery Fog is my favorite… but I want to try them all!”Sonnet Ireland Local Guide · Dine In
“As a non-coffee drinker, the variety of drinks and teas they offer are incredible. This is also a great study spot. Love this new place!”Abbey Knoedler Google Review
“Got a matcha with rose foam that was delightful and refreshing! The ambiance was super chill, with plenty of seating. We’ll definitely be back.”Pineapple Black Local Guide · Dine In

A portion of every coffee sale goes to Tomato Club Rescue — Louisiana’s first neonatal kitten rescue. Cats are about as close as the shop gets to a mascot.
