What it was

The Witches Garden was the first ticketed event we ran at Witches Brew. A five-course menu built around Wild Coast Brew loose-leaf tea, served at the shop on the Saturday before Memorial Day. Twenty-four total guests, two tiers (Bloom and Garden), a tea meditation, and fine-art portraits by Garden of Aries for the Garden tier.

It sold out.

If you were there, thank you. If you weren't, you weren't alone — we held twenty-four seats, total.

What we learned

Turning a coffee shop into a fine-dining experience for a single night is not an easy thing to do. The bar that runs espresso and pour-overs in the morning had to become the staging area for a five-course tea-paired dinner that evening. Different rhythm, different timing, different work — none of it the way we usually move through the day. We learned a lot getting there.

We are excited to offer something similar in the future.

What's next

We are planning more. The format isn't fixed yet — The Witches Garden may return in a new theme, or we may try something completely different. The format we tried worked well enough that we want to do another version of it. We'll know more in the next few months.
